The Alpha Antenna HexTenna is a versatile and portable resonant antenna designed for HF, VHF, and UHF communications. Covering 2 to 40 meters, plus 220MHz and 440MHz, this legal-limit dipole and vertical antenna delivers exceptional performance across multiple bands. Compact and lightweight at 80 ounces, with a stored size of 24 x 4.5 inches, the HexTenna is ideal for temporary outdoor deployments, offering amateur radio operators a reliable and efficient solution for portable use in various environments.

Built for adaptability, the HexTenna includes two telescopic 17′ 9″ stainless steel whips, a HexTenna hub, clip-on wire elements for 30/40 meters, and a 31-foot counterpoise for optimal performance on 12-20 meters. The whips are designed to adjust for resonance on specific bands, ensuring naturally occurring low SWR without requiring a tuner for most configurations. Additionally, the system can be set up as either a dipole or a vertical antenna, with configurations tailored to specific operating bands, offering SWR as low as 1.01:1 on 2 meters and 1.39:1 on 440 MHz.

Deployment is straightforward, utilizing the included Top of Mast Mount for pipes with an outside diameter of 1 to 1.25 inches. For stability in high winds (up to 50 mph), guying is recommended. This antenna is engineered for rugged environments, with operating parameters from -15 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit.
